Greek Administrative Geography

Kallikratis is the most recent administrative organization of Greece as explained in the relevant Wikipedia page. The hierarchical administrative organization of Greece according to Kallikratis is as follows: At the top level are seven Decentralized Administrations (Αποκεντρωμένες Διοικήσεις), which are composed by thirteen Regions (Περιφέρειες) divided into several Regional Units (Περιφερειακές Ενότητες) each. In addition, every regional unit consists of one or more Municipalities (Δήμοι) and in turn comprise Municipal Units (Δημοτικές Ενότητες).
